Stay on 13 North out of Rifle. Leaving town toward Meeker, you'll pass Columbine Ford on the right. Turn right onto Colorado 325, about 1.5 miles past Columbine Ford, just before Rifle Fireside Lanes Bowling Alley. There is a sign here for Rifle Gap Reservoir and Rifle Falls State Park. Continue on CO 325 for 12 miles passing Rifle Creek Golf Course. Bear right around Rifle Gap Reservoir. The next landmarks on CO 325 are Rifle Falls State Park and the Rifle Falls State Fish Hatchery, both on the right side of the road. Just past the fish hatchery the road bears to the left and the pavement ends as you leave CO 325. The road now becomes gravel as you enter Rifle Mountain Park. Stay on the gravel road for approximately 6 miles. Keep focused on the road as there are several narrow and winding spots without guard rails. You will cross a cattle guard and enter the White River National Forest. After passing the Spruce Picnic Grounds on the left, you will see a sign on your right for Coulter Lake Guest Ranch. Follow the arrow taking a hard left and drive up the hill to a Y in the road. Go to the right and after a half mile or so you will be heading up the driveway to the ranch. As you enter the ranch, there will be parking once you pass the barn on the right along the fence line. Come up to the lodge where you can check in. Winter Parking During winter season you'll park 3 miles from the ranch, where the road is blocked at Huffman's Gulch Campground. You'll be met there and brought to the ranch by snowmobile.
